How do I learn to play?
Joe has a built-in How to Play guide. The short version is on the Joe page here, under "How it plays."
Do I need Game Center?
Yes. Joe uses Game Center to sign you in and find other players. If Joe says you aren't signed in, open the Settings app, tap Game Center, and sign in with your Apple Account.
How is scoring calculated?
The player who goes out scores zero for the round. Everyone else adds up the cards left in their hand. Aces count 1, number cards count their face value, jacks, queens, and kings count 10, and wild cards count 20. The lowest total after 13 rounds wins.
How do I turn off voice chat?
Switch voice chat off in Joe's settings, or mute your microphone during a game. You can also turn off microphone access for Joe in the Settings app under Privacy & Security, then Microphone.
A game looks stuck or out of sync. What should I do?
Our game server keeps the official record of every game, and most display glitches clear up when Joe reloads from it. If a game stays stuck, email us with your Game Center name and roughly when it happened, and we'll check the server's record of the game.
How do I delete my data?
Email us with your Game Center display name and we'll delete your player record and game history from our servers. Our privacy policy has the details.
